Putting a Face on Syria - Tina Manley

Tina Manley

McLaurin Hall - Lewandowski Student Gallery

Tina Manley will be exhibiting her award-winning photographs of Syrian refugees from across the world. Manley traveled throughout Syria, Lebanon and Turkey, as well as many other countries, in order to document the current refugee crisis. Each photograph tells a compelling story and Manley wishes to share these stories through her work. Manley’s photographs have been published in many leading journals such as “National Geographic,” “British Heritage” and “Newsweek” and featured in “Photographers’ Forum,” “Photo Techniques” and “The Art of Photographing Children.” In honor of the International Day of Peace on Sept. 21, Winthrop University Galleries worked with the Winthrop Peace Studies Committee to present this exhibition in collaboration with the committee’s Syrian Refugee Series.
